Will you be available after hours?
Absolutely. Our office line has an after-hours option that will put you in contact with the on-call provider. While we are always available to our clients, we do ask that after-hour calls be reserved for urgent situations only.
Do nurse practitioners need physician oversight?
No. Nurse practitioners are fully licensed, independent providers in the state of Washington. Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, Medicare had certain requirements that only physicians could sign home health and hospice orders, but that is no longer the case. We also consult with other colleagues, nurse practitioners and physicians alike, for second opinions on difficult cases.
